While Artificial Intelligence (AI) can play a valuable role in research, its use must remain transparent, traceable, and responsibly integrated within scholarly practices. Help us develop a global reporting standard for AI disclosure in research.

Ugbu a, atumatu na omume maka otú to disclose AI use vary widely across disciplines, regions and publication cultures. Many publishers have their own disclosure requirements. These developments underscore the need for a shared, global understanding of how AI contributions to research should be made transparent.
To address this need, the International Science Council (ISC), the Kọmiti na ụkpụrụ omume mbipụta (COPE), na Njikọ nke Ndị Nbipụta Sayensị, Nkà na Ụzụ na Ahụike (STM) na Global Young Academy (GYA) ewerela ụzọ nkwonkwo iji rụọ ọrụ iji mezuo Ụkpụrụ Akụkọ Ụwa Maka Ikpughe AI na Nnyocha. This initiative formed the focus track nke Nzukọ mba ụwa maka iguzosi ike n'ezi ihe nyocha in Vancouver, held in May 2026. In two 90 minutes sessions, participants discussed thresholds for AI disclosure in a position game (slides of session 2.B on thresholds) and documenting AI oversight and verification processes (slides of session 4.B on accountability).
